Delete your account and data
Sondaq, operated by GraniteCore Technologies · effective August 5, 2026
You can request deletion of your Sondaq account and the data tied to it at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed. This page also applies if you've uninstalled the app but signed in at some point in the past.
Delete it yourself, right now
Deletion is instant and self-service, in the app or on the website -- no waiting on a request. Sign in, then:
- In the app: go to the Account tab and tap Delete my account. Confirm when asked.
- On the website: sign in at sondaq.app/fishing, then use the Delete account link next to your email in the header. Confirm when asked.
Your account, sign-in history, and Pro entitlement record are deleted immediately -- there's nothing further to wait on.
Can't sign in? Request it by email
If you no longer have access to sign in (lost the account's email, uninstalled the app, etc.), request deletion by email instead:
- Email contact@granitecoretech.com from the email address associated with your Sondaq account, with the subject "Delete my Sondaq account" (or use the button below).
- We may reply to confirm it's really you before proceeding, since this is irreversible.
- We delete your account within 30 days and reply to confirm once it's done.
What gets deleted
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your account record (email, internal account ID) | Permanently deleted |
| Sign-in history | Permanently deleted |
| Pro entitlement/subscription status on our servers | Permanently deleted |
What's retained, and why
- Database backups. Our database keeps automatic backups for 7 days. A deleted account may exist in a backup for up to that long, but backups are only ever used to restore the whole database after an incident -- never to recover one person's account -- so this doesn't undo your deletion.
- Purchase and subscription records with Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. If you bought Pro, those companies keep their own transaction records under their own policies (often required for tax/financial reasons) -- deleting your Sondaq account doesn't delete those. Use Apple's or Google's own account tools to manage that data, or to cancel a subscription.
- Feedback reports. Bug/feature reports submitted in the app are not linked to your account at all -- they're tied to a random, anonymous device ID with no email or account reference, so an account-deletion request has nothing to find or remove there. If you want a specific feedback submission removed, mention identifying details (roughly when you submitted it, what it said) in your deletion request email and we'll locate and remove it by hand.
